Goodrich Gasket offers a variety of coating systems for
stainless steel fasteners that are specifically selected
to meet customer’s performance specifications. Coating
and plating options include:
- Zinc Plating for Standard Products
- Xylan Coating for Extreme heat & Pressure
- Cadmium Plating & Other special Coating for other
applications.
PTFE Coating
PTFE coated fasteners reduce the friction during use and
reuse; it has brilliant anti-corrosive properties and
increases the usage life of Fasteners. PTFE coated
fasteners by Goodrich Gasket have a well established
reputation of doing brilliantly in the corrosive
atmospheres prevalent in offshore oil and gas, offshore
rigs & platforms, shipping, chemical, pharmaceutical,
deep sea drilling, shipping, and marine, power and
nuclear, petrochemical industries. PTFE material used by
Goodrich Gasket has non-stick, non-toxic
self-lubricating and non-wetting characteristics with
brilliant anti-corrosive properties, superior heat
resistance and cryogenic constancy. All these properties
of PTFE Coating create a long term advantage for a PTFE
user.
Xylan Coating
Xylan Coated Fasteners, Studs, Nuts, Bolts, Washers by
Goodrich Gasket are best suited for installations in
offshore platforms, petrochemical and chemical plants,
installations near the sea and in corrosive
environments. Xylan coating provides effective solution
to the problems in engineering construction regarding
wrong surface properties. Moreover, Xylan is used as a
coating material on alloy steel fasteners, aluminum and
copper fasteners owing to various features.
Fluoropolymer Coating
Fluoropolymer coatings are blends of high performance
resins and Fluoropolymer lubricants. These coatings
provide excellent corrosion and chemical resistance.
Other benefits of Fluoropolymer coatings include reduced
friction, resistance to galling, non stick, non wetting,
electrical resistance and abrasion resistance. At
Goodrich Gasket fluoropolymer coatings are applied to
fasteners and various OEM components to provide a longer
life before replacement.
